Australian Stories of Social Enterprise

Recently a pioneering book was launched called “Australian Stories of Social Enterprise”. It tells the fascinating stories of thirty-two pioneering Australian social entrepreneurs and their social purpose businesses. The book is written by Cheryl Kernot and Joanne McNeill.

PwC Transparency Awards announced

PwC together with CSI and the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia recently announced Mission Australia and Camp Quality as winners of the fourth annual PwC Transparency Awards. For the first time, the Awards included two separate categories; revenue greater than $20m, and revenue from $5m to $20m, and a new ‘Most Improved’ award.

Vale David Clarke AO

On 8 April 2011 former Macquarie Group Chairman David Clarke AO passed away at his home, surrounded by family. He was 69 years old.

HSC & Company would like to acknowledge the significant role Mr Clarke played in promoting philanthropy and extend our condolences to his friends, family and colleagues.

Join Phil Hayes-St Clair's guest lecture at QUT in Brisbane

On Wednesday 4 May 2011 HSC & Company Executive Chairman Phil Hayes-St Clair will be delivering the first of two guest lectures at the Gardens Point Campus of the Queensland University of Technology. The lecture commences at 11am in Z Block (room 411). The lecture will focus on how information technology can better enable philanthropy.
